Fluentus Residences are built into a steep Cycladic hillside, where the terrain is the primary design tool. Three subterranean units sit at different levels along the slope, each reached by a path that follows the land’s contours and arrives at consecutive entrance points. The structure doesn’t interrupt the landscape. It emerges from it.

The roofs are extensions of the terrain, covered in natural vegetation. The curved edges of the retaining walls echo the drywall structures typical of Cycladic geography, a formal language the building borrows rather than invents. Exposed concrete in warm earth tones keeps the palette coherent and grounds the volumes in their environment without announcing them.
Living spaces open onto large windows that frame the view directly. The transition from interior to courtyard happens through sheltered outdoor areas, unhurried and without hard thresholds. Elongated pools with vanishing edges extend the water line toward the horizon. IDAA developed the exterior visualization for this project, translating the principles of terrain architecture into image before a single wall breaks ground.
